If you want to catch your target audience's attention, using a spot of red just in the right place is the smartest way to go, especially when using with a neutral color such as white and black.
Red is also associated with celebrations about love and giving, such as Christmas and Valentine's day.

Color Psychology on Sales : White
In color psychology white is the color of new beginnings, clean slate, so to speak. It is the blank canvas waiting to be written
upon. It isn't stimulating to the senses, but it opens the creation of anything the mind can conceive.
In sales, it can be associated with new products, new formulas, better formulas of existing products, especially within the beauty scope.

Color Psychology on Sales : Blue
From a color psychology perspective, blue is reliable and responsible. This color exhibits an inner security and confidence. This is a color that seeks peace and tranquility above everything else, promoting both physical and mental relaxation. It reduces stress, creating a sense of calmness, relaxation and order - we certainly feel a sense of calm if we lie on our backs and look into a bright blue cloudless sky. It's also a fresh and clean color, which associated with the "trust" meaning, makes it perfect to promote cosmetic products, especially when conveying the message about them.

Closing The Sale
When you're selling something your customers will probably ask for something, whether it is information about the product, lower price, a product demonstration or customer referrals. A good rule to remember is to ask for something in return: for example, if the customer asks for a demonstration, ask them for a commitment to move forward with the purchase, if the demonstration proves that your product or service fulfill their needs and wishes.
Don't give in to temptation in promising something that you can't deliver. If a product needs time to be shipped, don't tell your client that you can get the product right away. Be honest and realistic.

How To Sell Anything
Today we're sharing an infograpghy by Anna Vital on how to sell anything to survive as an entrepreneur, starting with trust: having a clientele that trusts you is vital for any sale, and it's something that should be built since the beginning, even if your client doesn't buy the product when you first approach him.
Stand optimistic, yet transparent about your products, and be reasonable on where/when to approach your clients. Also make sure that you follow the sale (or prospective sale), whether you already made the sale, or not: always make sure the client is happy with the product, and be patient: you'll probably hear a lot of "nos" before hearing a YES.

The Importance of Visual Branding
In the direct sales business, visual branding is extremely important, as it will help you connect with your community, and express your brand's personality, making it memorable.
Here's a few tips on how to develop the Visual Branding:
- Set your color palette: a strong color palette is a key element of brand recognition; bright or pastel colors inspire creativity and dark blues and maroons inspire trust and insurance
- Determine your brand's fonts (and stick with them). This way, even before your clients read the message, they will recognize the font and associate it with the brand automatically;
- Be consistent with your design templates & structure.

Instagram VS Vine (Twitter)
Social Media is at war. Instagram has been growing more and more, while Twitter is still very popular. Instagram now allows 15 seconds of video, shareable to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, E-mail and so on. Vine, the Twitter video app, only allows 6 seconds of video, and only shareable to Facebook and Twitter, but it allows embedding to blog posts.
One thing we know for sure: short video usage in social media has become more and more popular when it comes to engaging with the community and clients.

Tips by Younique: Be Different Than Your Competition
Competition is tough, but if you keep copying the same techniques as the competition, if you don't stand out, if you don't think out of the box, you'll just be another small fish in the ocean.
This quote is an advice for those sellers who keep looking at the competition as role models. It's always good to have mentors when it comes to business, but copying every move will just tie your feet into the ground, when you are able to fly.

Encourage your staff to sell more and better
Some simple sales techniques are critical to the performance of the team, which is reversed in profit and growth for both parties :
Most customers do not know exactly what they need. So take the opportunity to discover the appropriate times to offer their solutions (and how to offer in order to emphasize the value they deliver to the customer);
In this sense: price is not everything. Show the customer the advantages that your product offers . Who sells makeup does not offer lip glosses, but beauty, self confidence, comfort and even social status.
Keep in touch: the customer doesn't always buy the product at first, so be courteous and leave open doors to a new opportunity .
Encourage the use of software and social media: many direct sales businesses are still in the past in this regard and do not see the importance of using the social media. This software and social media use needs to be aligned to a personalized sales routine, favoring the management of the customers , orders, and providing all the tools so that they best meet the customer and sell more.
What is on the rise today is the ability to exhibit products and issue orders on the tablet or Smartphone, since they will give more agility and value the products sold, and create a more modern impact on the client himself.

5 Direct Sales Myths VS. Facts
FACT:
- four in five (82%) direct sellers have been with their current direct selling company for one year or more, and 47% for five years or more.
- 89% of direct sellers rate their personal experience in direct selling as excellent, very good, or good.
- 84% of direct sellers say that direct selling meets or exceeds their expectations as a good way to supplement their income or as a way to make a little extra money for themselves.
- 91% of direct sellers say that direct selling meets or exceeds their expectations as a business where the harder they work the more money they can make.
(Source: National Salesforce Survey, Research International, Inc.)
MYTH #2: Most direct selling companies are pyramid schemes that are doomed to fail.
FACT: There’s a big difference between legitimate direct selling companies and pyramid schemes. Pyramid schemes seek to make money from you (and quickly). Legitimate direct selling companies seek to make money with you as you build your business (and theirs) by selling real products and services. Ask yourself these 3 questions:
- How much are you required to pay to become an independent consultant? If the startup cost is substantial, be careful! The start-up fee in direct selling companies should generally be low and cover the cost of your start-up kit (usually sold at or below company cost) which can include training materials, sample products and other items to get your business going. These companies want to make it easy and inexpensive for you to start selling. Pyramid schemes, on the other hand, make nearly all of their profit on signing up new recruits. Therefore, the cost to become a distributor is usually high.
- Will the company buy back unsold inventory? If not, beware! Legitimate companies that require inventory purchases will usually “buy back” unsold products if you decide to quit the business. Some state laws and the DSA Code of Ethics require buy-backs for at least 90% of your original cost.
- Are the company’s products sold to consumers? If the answer is no (or not many), stay away! This is a key element. Direct selling (like other methods of retailing) depends on selling to consumers and establishing a market. This requires quality products, competitively priced. Pyramid schemes, on the other hand, are not concerned with sales to end users of the product. Profits are made on volume sales to new recruits, who buy the products, not because they are useful or attractively priced, but because they must buy them to participate. Inventory purchases should never be more than you can realistically expect to sell or use yourself.
MYTH #3: Recruiting is the key to success in direct selling; sales to end-users of the products and services are minimal
FACT: There’s no doubt – recruiting is an important element of direct selling – just as expansion is important to any business that wants to grow. For direct sellers looking to build a business, recruiting others and mentoring them so they, too, can achieve their goals is important. But, recruiting is not a requirement for individual success in direct selling, and compensation must always based on the sale of products and services – whether your own sales or the sales made by your recruits.
MYTH #4: Companies require inventory purchasers; direct sellers who drop out are stuck with the inventory they purchased
FACT: Not all companies require inventory purchases! Younique doesn't require any inventory purchases and there are no auto-ships.
MYTH #5: Direct selling products are overpriced.
FACT: The consumer market won’t sustain products that are overpriced for long. Competition is a powerful force and products that aren’t competitively priced won’t sell and can’t last. But for direct selling, there’s a bit more to the price equation than might immediately meet the eye.The decision to sell a product through direct selling is often based on very specific factors. For example, products that require demonstration to convey the finer points of their operation are ideal for direct selling because a knowledgeable salesperson can personally conduct that demonstration for every customer. In a traditional retail setting, consumers might not understand the product’s unique qualities based on appearance or packaging. It’s true that some direct selling products are priced at the upper end of the retail market’s acceptance level, but there is higher acceptance based on the value-added incentive of the demonstration and personal service.
